Using the cold-pressed method of juice extraction we preserve the enzymes and nutrients of the fruits and vegetables for 72 hours (3 days). The “fresh” juice you get at the store or from your standard juice bar is juiced by a centrifugal juicer and only has a 15 minute life span of nutrients and live enzymes. This centrifugal juice is primarily the hydration from the fruits + veggies.
We press our produce with over thirty-thousand pounds of pressure! Pressing like this releases the vital enzymes and nutrients and creates an almost milk-like texture in the juice. The is the absolute best way to get your body activated and vibrating on a high level. At Local, we press in small batches daily to keep our juices as fresh as possible.
THE HYDRAULIC PRESS
A hydraulic press applies a tremendous amount of pressure (about 30,000 pounds) to extract the liquid from the pulp. This pressing inplace of blending or grinding, keeps the juice from oxidizing and losing valuable nutrients and enzymes.
When you use a blender or a standard juicer, the fruits and vegetables are being cut and ground by a blade and are exposed to heat, which removes many of the essential vitamins, enzymes, proteins, and minerals from your juice.
THE LOCAL STANDARD
Each juice from Local has roughly 3 pounds of organic produce per bottle. It’s important to us to only use organic fresh produce that is alive and radiant. You can rest assured that each juice you buy from Local will be filled with life and glow factor. The juice remains stable and high in nutrients for 72 hours when kept properly refrigerated. The shelf life is 4 to 5 days, but we always recommend consuming as soon as possible!
