SUPERFOOD LIFE WITH PHILOSOPHIE MAMA SOPHIE JAFFE

While I always jump start my day by spiking my breakfast smoothies with superfoods, I love getting creative and trying to integrate Philosophie’s superfood blends, honeys, and coconut butters (which combine a variety of superfoods that are high in vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and protein) into other dishes and drinks.

 Here are some of my favorite ways to transform ordinary foods into superfoods

 BREAKFAST: 

Spoon a dollop of Coconut Magic, a supercharged coconut butter into your coffee to make your own “Bulletproof Coffee.” Coconut butters are full of nutrients like magnesium, potassium, vitamin C, iron, and lauric acid, and are packed with fiber and healthy fats.  Stir a spoonful of a superfood + protein blend like Berry Bliss or Cacao Magic into your oatmeal, yogurt, or parfait and top with blueberries and goji berries for an extra load of antioxidants.

 LUNCH:

 Pack some extra nutrients into those chickpeas and make a dynamite hummus or sandwich spread simply by adding the superfood + protein blend Green Dream into the mix. Instead of drenching your salad with a pseudo-healthy dressing that’s high in sugar and fat, whip up your own salad dressing with apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, Green Bee manuka honey, and Green Dream.

 DINNER: 

Supercharge your savory vegetable soups, curries, and sauces by tossing in Green Dream, which will add an extra burst of natural green color from spirulina—the immune-boosting and detoxifying blue-green algae that’s also full of omega fatty acids.

Mix up a refreshing cocktail or mocktail and sweeten it up with Berry Bee manuka honey, which naturally increases energy and has antibiotic properties.

 DESSERT:

It’s totally possible to both satisfy your sweet tooth AND give your body a final dose of superfoods. Add some Cacao Magic to your brownies and Berry Bliss to your cakes before popping them into the oven or make some whimsical, nourishing dreamsicles by blending up a superfood smoothie and pouring them into popsicle molds.
